Sir Karl Jenkins has gathered 1300 choir members together with the World Orchestra For Peace formed by Georg Solti in 1995. The choirs travelled from over twenty countries to the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin. This is a truly unique performance with a specially commissioned war-archive film of archive and newsreels from the last one hundred years of conflict, projected onto five giant screens. Heralded as the new Messiah, The Armed Man is by far the most performed piece of orchestral music by a living composer with 2500 performances since it's premiere to commemorate the millennium.

​

There are also specific performances from Japanese Mezzo Soprano, Yumeji Matsufuji commemorating the destruction of  Hiroshima and Nagasaki, also there is the Islamic call to prayer from Amir Aziz  and the brand new Lamentation, A Lament For Syria with words from poet Amineh Abouh Kerech. There are interviews with Sir Karl Jenkins and the choir members in Berlin as well.

The choirs travelled from twenty seven countries including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, United Kingdom, France , Germany, Ireland , Isle of Man, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Malta, New Zealand, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Wales, and the USA.

This concert is ideal for scheduling around major peace commemorations, such the 75th anniversary of the end of World War Two in 2020. There are also annual Peace events such as International Peace Day on the 21st September of each year.
